Image manipulation Image Manipulation (Chopping) Image manipulation for fun is a very active hobby. You take an image supplied by you or someone else, change it in some way , and display it. You see these images all over the internet as political satire, jokes, etc. Entire sites are dedicated to contests of this nature and just for fun. If you enjoy working in photoshop or any of the other image manipulation software, these are the places for you. With few exceptions these sites offer tutorials or links to tutorials for those wanting to improve their skills. An internet search for "Photoshop contests" will give you a vast list of sites to choose from. Look the sites over carefully and do not overlook sites with just a few members. These can be the most fun. Free Software There are free programs available for image manipulation. You do not have to purchase Photoshop. Gimp and Paint.net are two examples of free software. The images below are just an example of what others have done.
